Featured Artist - Influencer - Rita Ballou It's RITA BALLOU day on Hello Texas! We at Hello Texas are big fans of this sassy, self-made super-fan turned world famous radio DJ. Rita started by creating the website - Rawhide and Velvet - way back in 2010. In 2012, she turned passion for the music into a radio DJ gig at Shooter FM in Waco and then at US 105 in Temmple. And now, Rita is a fixture at KOKE-FM in Austin, along with Country Music Hall of fame member Bob Cole and her afternoon co-host Eric Raines. In her spare time, Rita loves her weenie dogs, binge watching crime and reality TV, and her amazing husband.
